Simple things that can make you thankful might include:

Enjoying a crisp, juicy Apple.

Wrapping yourself in a warm Blanket.

Studying the Clouds and seeing what things can be in them whether it’s dragons or pirates.

Dancing brings out your joy.

As Edward Topsell wrote, “There is no creature among all the Beasts of the world which hath so great and ample demonstration of the power and wisdom of almighty God as the Elephant.”

Friendship connects us and we can choose our friends, unlike our family.

When we feel we can’t do anything more, Grace comes and gives us the help to keep going.

If we have nothing else, we have our Health to be thankful for.

We find comfort in Ice Cream. Get yourself a pint or share it with a friend.

Joy keeps us going.

A Kiss shows someone we care.

Laughter is good for every part of our bodies.

Music can make a difference in our lives and uplift us when we need it most.

Nature frees us and makes us calmer. Take in the outdoors as often as possible.

Robert Frost said, “Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.”

Take time for quiet. We all need some quiet in our lives.

Rainbows are a bright spot after a rainstorm. Then it disappears….but that’s a lot like life.

Sweaters provide us with a sense of safety and comfort. It’s like a knitted hug.

Saying, “Thank you” means we truly care.

Vanilla reminds us of home and love as well as freshly baked goods. It makes us feel good.

Exhaling calms us when we are least thinking about it.
