H-Factor Where Is Your Heart

The Road Ahead, by Lisa Cypers Kamen of What Is Your Happiness

These days it is impossible to see down the road ahead.  Ours lives are filled with uncertainty.   Our jobs, our relationships, our homes, our families are shifting and changing in ways we never could have imagined.  “Security” is not a word many people are using lately to describe life.   And beneath it all, we are wondering how we are going to get through this?  What kind of world will unfold in the years to come?  What kind of legacy will we leave behind for our children?   It is so very difficult to move forward on the path through life when you can’t see what lies ahead.

Every day presents a new challenge, and we are left to make the best choices we can without really knowing what the outcome will be.  We are left to trust ourselves deeply and implicitly.  It is fair to say that life is going to be this way for a long while.  The chronic nature of uncertainty could wear us down and leave us despairing and hopeless.   How do those people who live with long term stress go one with any measure of happiness whatsoever?  What secret do these people have that we need to know right now?

The answer is simple. The answer is found within the choices we make.  The direct and simple truth is that we can make a choice to be happy in spite of the uncertainty we face in our lives.  We must ask ourselves, what is our H-Factor?  What is our happiness?   Ultimately, we can be certain about this single fact; we can be happy during this time of great uncertainty if we choose it.
